Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. Once considered a delicacy, this green tree fruit is now a common addition to tables and menus all over the world. People’s love affair with avocados has gained traction in recent years. In fact, the growth in sales outpaces any other fruit. Avocados are a great source of healthy fat and there are many ways you can enjoy them such as in the form of a crisp or “chip.”

Avocado Crisps Recipe


  • 1 1/2 ripe Hass avocados
  • 1 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, black pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix everything together well.
  3. Place teaspoon-sized dollops onto a parchment-lined baking tray, flatten into thin disks and bake for 15-17 minutes.
  4. The crisps should turn a golden color but not too brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool and crisp up.

*For a Mexican twist, add a dash of Cumin and some Chili powder
